My very first post on here was one of my favorite looks ever! It was a warm-toned smokey eye using the 35O2 palette by Morphe and I’ve been obsessed with how it turned out since I posted about it! I’ve seen this trend going around on YouTube and I obviously don’t have one of those, but I still wanted to try to follow my own post and see how it turned out! Check out the original post right here!
So it definitely looks a little different from the first time I posted this look. I definitely intensified the colors a little bit more and made it even more smokey. I still love this look, though, and I think the colors I used really suit me! Unfortunately, this palette is no longer on Morphe’s website, but I looked into other palettes that have similar colors, just in case you want to try this one out! Two palettes from the Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection, Ring the Alarm and Armed & Gorgeous, have a lot of warm tones, and the colors are extremely similar. Also, try out the original Jaclyn Hill palette, since this one is one of my all-time favorites and has so many beautiful shades!
I started with a peach color as my transition then began to blend the vibrant orange into my crease. I added some red to darken it a little bit, then put a warm-toned brown on the outer corner. I’ve learned a lot of new techniques to make the colors pop even more, so I think that’s why my second try looks a little bit darker. Rather than going straight in with a shade and blending, I’ve been packing the color onto the area I want it to go then blending it out around the edges. This makes the color more intense, but because the shadows in Morphe’s palettes are so good, they’re super easy to blend out.
Like I did in the original picture, I cut my crease with concealer then set it with the gold shimmer in the palette. I repeated all the same steps on my lower lash line, then added one of the highlight colors from the Jaclyn Hill palette to my inner corner.
Overall, I’m really happy with how both of these looks turned out. I think in just a few short months, I’ve learned a lot about blending and making colors even more intense, so it’s cool to see how the look has evolved. This is the perfect eye look for fall and it’s super easy to do! Let me know which one you liked more! I love both and I think these colors are some of my favorites!
