I’m gonna be completely honest with you…I’ve never been super into purple eye makeup. I’ve always loved pinks and blues in terms of using vibrant colors, but I’ve never really tried doing a completely purple look on myself. In the last few weeks, though, I’ve started trying out different shades of purple and the results have been so great! Keep reading to see how I accomplished this look that you see right here.
One of my favorite palettes that I’ve been using everyday has been the 25C Hey Girl Hey palette by Morphe. It has so many wearable warm tones for everyday looks, but also has a few pops of color. I wanted this look to be as vibrant as I could make it, so I used the matte magenta shade in the palette as my transition. Since this color is a lot brighter than my normal transition shades, I started with very little product on my brush, building up the color while making sure to blend it out on the edges.
I know I mention the Zulu palette by Juvia’s Place in most of my posts, but I can’t help it! The colors in that palette are insane! I used the dark purple shade to deepen the outer corner then continued to blend it into the magenta shade I used earlier. To make my outer corner even darker I added a little bit of the dark plum shade from the 25C palette, which made this look exactly how I wanted it to! This look took a lot of blending, so if you try to recreate it make sure to take your time. I blended these shades onto the outer 2/3 of my lower lash line as well.
Once I was happy with how I blended those two shades, I decided that I wanted to cut my crease. You can find an in-depth tutorial on how to do this in one of my earlier posts, which I’ll link right here. I do this a lot when I went the shimmer shade on my lid to really pop! After I cut my crease, I packed on the shade “Faso” from The Magic Mini palette by Juvia’s Place, making sure to blend my earlier purple shades with this shimmer on the outer corner for a seamless look. I finished this by using a pink highlighter on my inner corner and adding some mascara.
I’ve really been into using colors that are out of my comfort zone lately, and with enough blending and creativity, the results are amazing! Purple has always been one of my favorite colors, but I’ve been too nervous to put it on my eyes. Now I know how cool purple tones can look and I’m excited to play around with even more shades like these!
If you like purple eyeshadow looks, you’ll love the look I did on my sister using the Zulu palette, which I’ll link here! Make sure to check out all my other super colorful looks, like my rainbow eye and another super colorful one, and be sure to send me any type of look you’d like to see me try to recreate!
